We are seeking to twin with other schools.

At MPS, we believe in the power of friendship. We have made local friendships with schools and community around us. We have had positive learning from such relationships.
We believe that our children will learn even more better if they get to know what is happening elsewhere in the world.
Many people have no  idea about what is happening in the world outside their countries. This has limited their ability to be critical thinkers. We would like to introduce a spirit among our children where they look at things in a broader aspect commensurate to the measure of the whole world. We therefore seek for a school, anywhere in the world with which our children will share different lesson outcomes, reports and topics for the purpose of mutual benefit.
If there is any interested school, individual or organizations, please feel free to write to us through:

Thank you all,
Melton Primary School.

A school for all.

Our school values the importance of a friendly child- teacher relationship as being a crucial strategy for the learning of children. As a school,  we will provide a holistic approach focusing our attention on children’s physical, personal, social and spiritual well being.

Children have  structured day. We promote choice and a freedom to play, we learn through play, allowing children to discover, negotiate, take risks, create meaning and solve problems based on the children’s interest and ability.

We encourage a supportive confidence building atmosphere that will help promote physical, emotional, intellectual, creative and social growth.

We are a community school that welcomes all children from all economic situations. In all we do, children are given the first priority.

WE all GO green.

Dear students, parents and all our friends, we are grateful that we are taking lead in encouraging our young generation to live an exemplary life. This term, we have embarked on teaching our students the value of keeping our environment safe. Since August, we have had terrible drought than before. We are all worried and wondering what next. Food cost has gone high and few our our people can afford to eat thrice a day.  We take the lead in asking or students teach everyone in the community the need to go GREEN. Please take time to listen to them because they have the long lasting solution to what we have gone through in the recent past. We are all going green. We call for your support in this noble cause.

We can not  undermine the strength our children are having. We equip them to be light in this world, to be problem solvers in this challenging world.  We once again call for your support. Each day we what to see a tree growing and watered in the community.

Great Relationships.

Great relationships
When children are shown their worth and receive regular positive reinforcement, they learn how to give that in return to others. Selflessness is a quality we nurture in our approach to relationship management.

Welcome to Melton Primary School

At Melton, every child is made in God’s image, reflecting His light – they are all worthy, valuable and capable of tremendous things. To teach well is to nurture this light in every child. We listen to our students attentively, treat them kindly, encourage them earnestly, correct them compassionately and love them unconditionally. We are gentle but strong. Kind but courageous.

We guide and serve them as we teach them to guide and serve others. We bestow opportunity, inspire possibility, teach persistence and model integrity. We ignite their love of learning and fuel their self-belief so they may rise into adulthood as purposeful, capable and selfless leaders in their own lives. Leaders with the inner capacity and light to change their world for the better.
We have the highest honour and the greatest responsibility, to nurture the light in every child, and to show them that light is the image of God within them.

At Melton We Care We Share We Serve

Our school provides a stimulating learning environment that excites children’s interests and fires their imagination.

It gives security and friendship and shows quality appreciation and care.  The ethos of the school is created by the attitudes and values displayed by staff and other adults towards the children and to each other.

The school strives to satisfy the needs and realise the potential of each child,
"We strive to maintain a happy, caring and successful school in which all are valued and are proud to belong."
acknowledging that it is essential to create confidence and self-esteem by means of attainable goals.

High quality teaching and learning are promoted within a positive environment that sets out to encourage observation, investigation and development of language skills.  Each and every child is encouraged to work towards their full potential through high expectations, the development of good relationships and hard work.

The school strives to maintain the excellent relationship that exists with parents and the community.  A partnership approach is valued, accepting that home and school each have major influences on the educational and emotional development of the child.  Parents are welcome at any time and are given the opportunity of contributing to the life and work of the school.

Links with the wider community enable the children to be contributors to their own surroundings and thereby develop a sense of pride in their environment.  We strive to maintain a happy, caring and successful school in which all are valued and are proud to belong.
The words below are shared by everyone at school and they have helped to create a one family at school.;
